Marcus Oldham offers premium courses in Farm Business Management with qualifications being:
Bachelor of Business (Agriculture) - 4 years
with a nested Associate Degree of Farm Business Management - 3 years

This program has been specifically designed for people aiming for professional management positions in all aspects of the rural industry. Each course recognises that a manager of an agricultural business should possess appropriate business management skills and be well trained in all aspects of management production.

The structure of the course ensures students are no more than 12 months away from the workplace.

The first year of the program is spent at the College learning the principles of farm business management; this is followed by a year of industry experience on a property or rural business. The third year of study requires students to return to the College where they will learn to apply the analytical and the decision making skills required in managing a farm business.  Students successfully completing this year have the option to graduate with an Associate Degree of Farm Business Management.

The Bachelor of Business (Agriculture) may be completed in the fourth year by external study (with some intensive lectures) on a full or part time basis.

The course produces graduates with skills in eight key areas:

Integrated Management Studies, Farm Business Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Information Management, Sustainable Resource Management, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Production Systems.

Internationally recognised by major sectors of the equine industry, the Diploma of Equine Management aims to equip students with practical and business skills necessary for a successful career in their chosen area.

Developed in close consultation with industry, students are exposed to a diverse range of prominent leaders specialising in riding, training and management techniques, business philosophies, economic views, marketing strategies and administrative practices.

To ensure students have obtained essential horse management skills, all students participate in the riding stream during the first half of the course before having an opportunity to branch out and specialise in a particular area of interest during the second semester.

While guest lectures are an important part of the course, equally important is the insight students obtain off campus. Exciting study tour and work experience programs are a feature of the course and allow students to visit and work with prominent industry leaders and enterprises in both Australia and New Zealand.

Marcus Oldham prides itself on having a reputation within industry for producing graduates who have good management skills. The close rapport the College has with industry ensures outstanding career opportunities for graduates.
