Studying at CHC: Christian Perspectives

Academic and professional studies with a Christian worldview

Developing Christian perspectives on academic studies is a major emphasis in CHC’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. All subjects in each field of study are set within the framework of a Christian worldview.

CHC’s academic staff represent a unique blend of Christian commitment, professional experience, and academic qualifications.  More than half of the academic staff hold doctoral qualifications. All have extensive experience in Christian leadership and service, together with a special interest in developing Christian perspectives in their teaching areas. Widely regarded as experts in their fields, CHC staff are caring and approachable people with a deep concern for the personal and academic growth of their students.

Developing the whole person

At CHC, higher education is about more than academic and professional development. It’s also about personal growth, because we recognise that who you are is more important for success in life and work than what you know. CHC programs seek to develop the whole person, integrating personal growth and professional development.

Learning and growing with other Christians

CHC offers a lively, caring and supportive Christian environment where each individual student is important.  College staff give personal attention to each student, and encourage students with quality one-to-one advice and support – in their personal, spiritual and academic development. The lecturers live and teach, and therefore model, what they believe, and what motivates them as Christian professionals.

Employment

Employers value CHC degrees.  CHC’s rate of employment after graduation matches the best that Australian universities can offer.  For example, the rate for Education graduates is around 95%.

Applying for admission

Application for enrolment is directly to the College.  CHC has both first and second semester intakes.  Intending students can download a copy of the relevant course guide and application for admission form from the CHC website. International students should also obtain a copy of the CHC International Student Handbook and International Student Application for Admission form.  Alternatively, please contact CHC directly, by email or phone, if you would like to have the information posted to you.

International students who will need to apply for a student visa to study in Australia should contact their nearest Australian Embassy or High Commission, to ascertain the Australian Government requirements for student visas. This process can take some time, and intending students are advised to make early application. More information can be found at the Australian Government’s Study in Australia website (www.studyinaustralia.gov.au).

Language requirements
